Mommy Y contacted me when she was still in her first trimester! Love it when my clients prepare way in advance. 😉 We met up & it was a really nice chit-chat affair over lunch. We talked about pregnancy and baby care, all the possibilities & things to expect. As usual, I’d be chattering away about my share of mommy-hood. 😉 And Mommy Y was a great listener. Thank you, girl! 😀
When she finally turned 8-month in her pregnancy, she booked into a new resort in town and we had had some wonderful girlie affair together with two of her make-up artists. She’s got such an amazing selection of clothing materials, we had a real blast dressing her up! As much as I wish to share with you some really amazing shots from that day, alas, Mommy Y & Daddy W requested for privacy with their photos, allowing only these non-facial shots to be shared on this blog today.
A few weeks later, they welcomed their first little girl into their beautiful new home. Such a fiesty little girl but we had some fun altogether and one of her beloved aunt helped with the newborn session, which made it much easier for me. Thank you! 🙂
I love her nursery to bit!
Mommy Y bought some pretty cute outfits & props just for her newborn portraiture. Love ’em all! 😀
These two shots are not my idea/concept, but merely a request by Mommy Y based on Adele Enersen’s creative work with her little baby during her maternity leave. You can read more about her & baby Mila here.
We head over to their new WHITE kitchen for some more portraits.
One thing I’ve observed throughout the shoot was how natural & loving Mommy Y is with her baby girl. Especially for a first time mommy! She looks like a “seasoned” mommy by the way she interacted & carried Baby G. Makes me feel all warm inside by just looking at this mommy-daughter relationship. 🙂
Thank you so much, Mommy Y, for sharing with me your little family. I look forward to the next session with Baby Giselle and the rest of the family. Meantime, take care & give me a call if you’re free to “hang-out”. 😉
